Dentist
Dr. Peter Blodgett has years of experience in all areas of dentistry. He has been with West Side Dental since he graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1989 and is a graduate of Luther College (‘85). He comes from a long line of dentistry practitioners in Decorah, preceded by his father, Dr. Jim Blodgett, and his grandfather, Dr. John Blodgett.
Dr. Blodgett maintains his certification as a CEREC® doctor (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) and is also a provider for SureSmile® clear orthodontic aligners. In addition to practicing at West Side Dental, Dr. Blodgett also volunteers with the Decorah Free Dental Clinic and annually travels with a group of fellow dentists to provide dental services to the residents of Berlín, El Salvador. He and his wife, Linda, have two sons, Evan and Jared, and enjoy spending time with their new grandson, Rhett. In his leisure time, Dr. Blodgett enjoys biking on the Trout Run Trail, hunting, and creating pottery at his home.
